I designed this due to personally being in danger of losing a finger or two when chopping wood for kindling with a chopper.
To use the splitter simply put the wood you want to split onto the pointed sharp blade and hit it with a mallet.
I recommend using a mallet not a steel hammer as it splits it quickly and a steel hammer would follow through and blunt the sharp edge.
Within a few minutes you should have enough kindling to last at least a week
The wood I use is broken pallets or similar.
There are 2 brackets welded to the main body enabling it to be clamped or bolted in place if required, however you can use the splitter without clamping.
